Privacy Policy
RigLane Retail LLC — www.riglane.com
Effective date: October 4, 2026.
1. Who we are and scope
RigLane Retail LLC (“RigLane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.riglane.com, an online store selling electronics, accessories, and outdoor, marine, and RV products to customers in the United States. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information in connection with the Website, orders, accounts, and customer support.
Contact us at shop@riglane.com with privacy questions or requests. Our legal mailing address appears below.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and delivery information: Your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and telephone number if provided for an order or support.
- Order and transaction information: Items purchased, prices, order numbers, payment status and transaction references, delivery and tracking details, cancellations, returns, refund records, and communications about an order, including copies of the emails we send you. Payment providers may also give us limited card details, such as the card type, the last four digits, and the results of address and security-code checks.
- Account and access information: Your email address, order-history association, login-link and session information, and records needed to authenticate access and prevent misuse, such as the IP address and browser information recorded when you accept our Terms, request a login link, or sign in. We use passwordless email login rather than store-account passwords.
- Support information: Messages, return reasons, photographs, and other information you choose to provide. Do not send full card numbers, security codes, or unrelated sensitive information by email or other support channels.
- Technical and usage information: Information such as IP address in Website/server communications, browser and device details, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and cookie or similar identifiers, as collected by our Website systems.
We receive information directly from you, automatically from Website interactions, and from payment, fulfillment, delivery, and other service providers in connection with your orders and Website use. We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, or sensitive demographic information for store operations.
3. Payments and card information
Stripe processes credit card payments. PayPal processes PayPal payments. RigLane does not store full payment card numbers or card security codes, and employees cannot access those credentials through our store systems. If you give us card details by phone, our representative enters them directly into our payment processor's secure form; they are not written down or stored. Our payment providers' scripts on the payment page may collect device and browser information to help prevent fraud. Returning customers must enter card details again for each new card order. Payment providers may send us transaction references, payment status, billing details, and limited payment descriptors needed for reconciliation, fraud prevention, and refunds.
If we separately agree to accept a bank wire, cryptocurrency, Zelle, Venmo, or another payment method, the relevant financial service processes that payment and may provide sender and transaction information. A cryptocurrency payment is also recorded on a public blockchain. Those services handle information under their own policies. See Stripe's Privacy Policy and PayPal's Privacy Statement.
4. How we use information
- Process payments, fulfill and deliver orders, and manage cancellations, returns, replacements, and refunds.
- Provide account access, order history, tracking information, and customer support.
- Make checkout quicker: customers and our staff can use contact and address details from previous orders to fill in a new order.
- Send login links and transactional messages about orders, shipment changes, returns, and refunds.
- Maintain and improve Website performance, understand Website usage, and troubleshoot problems.
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized access, maintain business and accounting records, meet legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
We currently send customer emails for transactions and account/service matters, not mass promotional campaigns. Order-related messages may still be necessary even if you do not want promotional communications.
5. Cookies and privacy signals
Cookies and similar technologies may support checkout, maintain an authenticated session, and recognize account access. You can manage or block cookies through your browser. Guest checkout does not require cookies; signing in to your account does. Your shopping cart is kept in your browser's storage, so blocking site data may prevent the cart from being kept between visits. You may also request order assistance, returns, or cancellations by email.
We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and the Website does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.
6. When we disclose information
We disclose information needed for the purposes described above to these categories of recipients:
- Payment and financial services: To process, verify, reconcile, and refund payments and address fraud or payment disputes.
- Order fulfillment and delivery providers: To prepare, ship, track, and handle orders, returns, or replacements, using relevant contact, delivery, and order details.
- Website and operational service providers: Hosting, technical infrastructure, transactional email, and security providers as needed to operate the store and deliver account and order messages.
- Professional advisers and legal recipients: When reasonably necessary for accounting, legal advice, compliance with lawful requests, fraud prevention, protection of rights or safety, or resolution of disputes.
- Business transaction participants: If necessary in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable legal protections and notice requirements.
We limit operational disclosures to information relevant to the recipient's function. Payment providers and certain other recipients may act independently for their own legal, fraud-prevention, or other disclosed purposes.
We do not sell customer lists for money. Our stated advertising practice is to provide product catalog data to Google Merchant Center/Google Shopping or Google Ads, rather than upload customer lists. Product catalog data describes merchandise, not customer orders. We do not currently use customer-list advertising, remarketing, or enhanced conversions under the practices described in this Policy. Whether a disclosure qualifies as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under a privacy law depends on its actual configuration and use, not only whether money changes hands.
7. Future optional features
Google Customer Reviews, promotional email subscriptions, and third-party chat are not currently included in the store practices described here. If we introduce them, we will update this Policy and provide any required notice and choice before the new processing begins.
An optional Google review or survey program may require disclosure of an email address and order or delivery information to Google. Its notice will explain what is shared and when. A future promotional subscription will offer an unsubscribe method and may be managed by an email service provider. A future chat service may process chat messages and technical information; we will not ask for full card numbers or security codes in chat. This section does not itself authorize those future disclosures or enroll you in those services.
8. Retention and security
Our retention approach is to keep information for the period reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including order fulfillment, returns, applicable warranty matters, tax and accounting requirements, fraud prevention, payment disputes, and legal claims. Different records may need different periods. Account and support records are assessed against continuing service needs; technical records against operational and security needs. Legal obligations or a dispute may require longer retention. Information no longer needed should be deleted or deidentified, subject to necessary backup cycles and legal holds.
We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no system or transmission method guarantees complete security. Passwordless login links grant access to your account information; protect your email account and do not forward those links. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may verify identity before providing account information or acting on sensitive requests.
9. Your choices and requests
You may view order history through your account and contact shop@riglane.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about our privacy practices. Please identify your request and the email address associated with your orders. Do not include full payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive identification documents.
Depending on your state of residence, the law's applicability to RigLane, and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to confirm processing, access information, receive a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, or opt out of specified sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent and appeal a denied request by replying to our response with “Privacy Appeal.” We will explain applicable reasons for denial, appeal options, and any further rights required by law.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an agent's authority. We may retain information where legally required or permitted, such as records needed for taxes, an outstanding order, fraud prevention, or legal claims. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a protected privacy right.
California residents may also contact us regarding disclosures for third parties' direct marketing under California's Shine the Light law. We do not disclose customer personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing under our current stated practices.
10. Children and other websites
Our store is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Links to manufacturers, payment providers, Google, or other websites lead to services governed by their own privacy policies. Review those policies when using the services. Our store serves U.S. customers, but service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as practices or requirements change and will revise the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required, such as a Website notice or email. We will obtain consent where required before using previously collected information in a materially different way. Posting an update does not by itself authorize uses prohibited by earlier commitments or applicable law.
