Terms and Conditions
RigLane Retail LLC — www.riglane.com
Effective date: October 4, 2026.
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern purchases from and use of www.riglane.com (the “Website”), operated by RigLane Retail LLC, a California limited liability company (“RigLane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We sell electronics, accessories, and general outdoor, marine, and recreational vehicle products. We sell online only and do not provide installation services. We currently accept orders for shipment within the United States, including all 50 states, subject to product and carrier restrictions disclosed before purchase.
When you affirmatively accept these Terms at checkout, you agree to them. If you place an order with us by phone or email, you accept these Terms when you confirm that order with our representative. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract, or purchase through a parent or legal guardian. If purchasing for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; accepting these Terms does not substitute for any separate privacy consent required by law.
Section 12 contains a binding individual arbitration agreement and class-action waiver, with exceptions and a 30-day opt-out right. Please read it carefully.
2. Products, condition, and safe use
We sell new and refurbished products, including available and backordered items. The product listing identifies the condition. Refurbished products may have different packaging or warranty coverage from new products; consult the listing and applicable manufacturer warranty before ordering. Images are illustrative, and packaging or appearance may vary without changing the product ordered.
Review dimensions, electrical ratings, compatibility, intended use, and installation requirements before purchase. Follow manufacturer instructions and applicable safety requirements. Use a qualified professional where appropriate for electrical, marine, RV, or other specialized installations. Our product information does not replace manufacturer instructions or professional advice. These responsibilities do not excuse an inaccurate product description or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
3. Orders, prices, and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges, and any additional charges agreed with you, are shown before payment. Your payment is authorized when you place your order and charged when we accept the order, usually within one business day. For a backordered item, this may be before the item ships. An order acknowledgment confirms receipt of your order, but does not guarantee stock availability. We may decline or cancel an order for unavailable merchandise, an actual pricing or listing error, payment failure, suspected fraud, or a legal restriction. We will notify you and promptly refund amounts paid for any items we cancel. We will not substitute a different product or increase an agreed price without your consent.
Credit card payments are processed through Stripe, and PayPal payments through PayPal. We may agree separately to accept a bank wire, cryptocurrency, Zelle, Venmo, or another payment method. Payment instructions for these methods are sent only from shop@riglane.com; contact us to verify them before sending an alternative payment. We do not store full payment card numbers or security codes. If you give us card details by phone, our representative enters them directly into our payment processor's secure form; they are not written down or stored. Card details must be entered again for each new card purchase. Card charges appear on your statement under the RIGLANE name with your order number.
If you ask us to change an order after it is placed, we will send you an updated order confirmation. An increase in the total is charged as a separate payment, so your statement may show more than one charge for the order. A decrease is released from the payment authorization or refunded to your original payment method.
4. Shipping estimates and backorders
Product-specific shipping estimates describe when we expect an item to ship, not when it will arrive. For example, “estimated to ship by tomorrow” and “backordered, estimated to ship within 2–5 weeks” are shipment estimates. Transit time is additional. We base estimates on the information reasonably available when you order.
If we cannot ship within the stated time, we will notify you, provide a revised estimate or explain that a date is unavailable, and offer the cancellation and refund options required by law. We will obtain consent to a delay where required and cancel and promptly refund an unshipped order when the law requires it. If no shipment time is stated, the applicable federal shipment deadline applies, generally 30 days. Describing a date as an estimate does not waive these obligations.
Provide an accurate delivery address and contact us promptly about missing, damaged, or incorrectly delivered shipments. We will investigate and provide remedies required by law. Carrier tracking alone does not eliminate your rights concerning delivery.
5. Cancellations
Request cancellation through your account or by emailing shop@riglane.com with your order number. Requests are reviewed by a representative and are not automatically confirmed by the Website.
You may cancel a backordered item for a full refund at any time before that item actually ships. Eligibility depends on when we receive your request, not when our representative processes it. We will not deny a timely backorder cancellation merely because review occurs later. For other orders, we will try to stop shipment, but cannot guarantee cancellation after fulfillment has begun. If shipment cannot be stopped, the return policy below applies, except where a legal cancellation right requires otherwise. Special-order items marked final sale follow section 7.
No restocking or shipping deduction applies to an eligible full-refund backorder cancellation. We issue cancellation refunds promptly within applicable legal deadlines.
6. Return requests and mandatory authorization
We must receive your return request within 30 calendar days after the item is delivered. Submit the request through your account or email shop@riglane.com. Include your order number, the item, the reason for return, and relevant details or photographs for damage, defects, or an incorrect item. Email requests are available even if you cannot use your account.
Submitting a request does not automatically authorize a return. A representative must review it and issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) number and return instructions. We usually issue eligible RMAs within 3 business days after receiving the request. Our processing time does not invalidate a request received within the 30-day window.
Wait for your RMA number and the specific return address before shipping. Do not send products to our headquarters or legal mailing address at 2108 N St Ste 17863, Sacramento, CA 95816. Returns sent there will be refused. Follow the authorized instructions, include the RMA number, package the item securely, and retain tracking and proof of shipment. An RMA permits inspection and does not guarantee a particular refund amount. These procedures do not limit nonwaivable legal remedies.
7. Return condition, shipping costs, and restocking
Return the item in the condition received, with its original packaging, accessories, manuals, and included components. For new sealed products, unused and unopened condition with seals intact qualifies for no restocking fee. For refurbished products, the comparison is to the condition and packaging in which the product was supplied.
No restocking fee applies when an item is returned in its original condition as received, complete and unused, with any original seals intact. We may deduct a restocking fee of up to 15% of the returned item's purchase price for customer-caused changes in condition, opened or broken seals, use, or missing packaging or included components. We will explain any assessed fee. We do not assess a restocking fee because of a defect, shipping damage, or error attributable to us, including reasonable opening needed to discover such an issue.
- Customer-choice returns: You pay return shipping when, for example, you ordered an incompatible or incorrect item, changed your mind, or no longer need it. If we supply a convenient return label, its cost is deducted from your refund. Original outbound shipping charges are not refundable. For orders shipped free, the actual outbound shipping expense may be deducted only where this deduction was adequately disclosed before purchase and is permitted by law. We do not charge the same shipping expense twice.
- Our error, shipping damage, or an out-of-box defect: Contact us for an RMA and instructions. We pay reasonable authorized return shipping and do not deduct outbound shipping or a restocking fee for the affected item. Any inspection is subject to your applicable legal rights.
We will identify applicable deductions when processing your return. The return restrictions and fees above do not override rights concerning defective, misdescribed, or undelivered merchandise.
Final sale: clearance and special-order items
Some clearance and special-order items are marked as final sale on their product page. A final sale item may not be returned to us for a refund or exchange, and an order for a special-order item may not be cancellable once placed, except where a legal cancellation right applies, for example if the item does not ship within the time we stated. Please confirm that such an item is right for your needs before ordering. If a final sale item is defective, it remains covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and you may have it repaired or replaced by the manufacturer under the warranty's terms; we will help you with the manufacturer's process where we can. This does not limit your rights concerning items that arrive damaged, that are not the item you ordered, or that do not match their description, or any other right that cannot be waived by law.
8. Refunds and replacements
We ordinarily issue an approved refund or mail an approved, available replacement within 3–4 days after the returned item is received and inspected. If inspection, replacement availability, or processing will take longer, we will notify you. Replacements are subject to agreement and availability; you do not have to accept an indefinite replacement delay instead of a refund to which you are entitled.
Refunds are generally sent to the original payment method. If that is unavailable, we will arrange an appropriate alternative consistent with law. Financial institutions and payment services may take additional time to post funds. We refund applicable taxes as required and explain permitted deductions. Statutory refund deadlines take priority over our usual processing targets.
9. Manufacturer warranties and statutory rights
Most products include a manufacturer warranty; coverage, duration, exclusions, and claims procedures vary by product and may differ for refurbished goods. Review the applicable warranty before purchase or contact us for available warranty information. We do not promise coverage beyond the manufacturer's terms.
For a product installed and then found non-operational, contact the manufacturer for diagnosis and warranty replacement instructions. If the defect existed on arrival, contact us as well so we can determine the appropriate remedy. Following manufacturer procedures does not make the manufacturer your exclusive remedy where the law also imposes obligations on RigLane.
RigLane does not offer a separate voluntary product warranty, installation, repair service, or voluntary return service beyond the stated 30-day return-request window. This does not exclude or shorten any applicable implied warranty, statutory warranty, or other consumer right, or relieve us of obligations that continue after that window. Nothing requires you to pay fees or accept a manufacturer-only remedy where prohibited by law.
10. Accounts and Website use
Accounts use passwordless email login links and may use cookies to maintain a session. Protect your email account and login links, and do not share them. Use only your own account or one you are authorized to access. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may request order assistance, returns, or cancellations by email without account access.
Do not misuse the Website, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or submit fraudulent orders. Website content belongs to RigLane or its licensors and may not be reproduced for commercial use without permission or other lawful authority. We may restrict access reasonably necessary to address abuse or security threats, without withholding legally required order support or refunds.
11. Liability and protected rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, RigLane is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from Website use or a purchase, such as lost business profits or loss of use. This exclusion does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. It does not limit mandatory warranty remedies, statutory damages, or your right to recover sums owed for an order. Some states do not permit particular exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
12. Disputes and binding individual arbitration
Except as stated below, you and RigLane agree that disputes arising from these Terms, the Website, or a purchase will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than a court or jury trial. This agreement is mutual. It is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
Informal resolution
Before starting arbitration, the complaining party should send written notice describing the dispute and requested relief. Send notices to shop@riglane.com or our legal mailing address below; we will use the contact information you supplied. The parties will attempt resolution for 30 days after receipt. This process does not prevent either party from filing to preserve a legal deadline or seeking relief expressly permitted below.
Administrator, process, and costs
The American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) will administer arbitration under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules, including applicable supplementary rules, subject to the protections in this section. Rules and filing information are available at AAA's consumer arbitration website. A single neutral arbitrator will decide the merits and issue a reasoned written award. The arbitrator may award the remedies available under applicable law for the claim.
You may elect a documents-only or remote hearing where permitted by the rules. Any required in-person hearing will be reasonably convenient to your residence. You will not pay more in administrative or arbitrator fees than the lesser of the consumer amount permitted by AAA rules or the filing fee for a comparable court action. RigLane will pay remaining arbitration fees required by the rules or law, including amounts needed to prevent prohibitive costs. Fee waivers remain available. Attorney fees and costs may be awarded only as applicable law permits; you will not owe our attorney fees merely because you do not prevail.
A court, rather than the arbitrator, decides disputes about formation, enforceability, or scope of this arbitration agreement and the class-action waiver. Judgment on an award may be entered in a court with jurisdiction. If AAA will not administer a dispute, the parties may agree on another qualified administrator; if they cannot agree, either party may bring the dispute in a court with jurisdiction. No substitute may reduce your nonwaivable protections.
Exceptions and individual proceedings
Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small claims court. You may complain to government agencies. Claims or remedies that cannot lawfully be required to proceed in arbitration are excluded. Nothing waives the right to seek public injunctive relief in any forum required by applicable law.
To the extent lawful, you and RigLane waive participation as a class representative or class member in a class action or class arbitration for covered disputes. The arbitrator may not combine different customers' claims without all affected parties' consent. This provision does not restrict legally protected representative claims, public injunctive relief, or administrative coordination permitted by applicable AAA rules. If the waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy may proceed in court and the remainder of this section applies only to the extent lawful.
30-day right to opt out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing shop@riglane.com or mailing written notice to our legal address within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. Include your name, account or order email address, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. A mailed notice is timely if postmarked within the period. Opting out does not affect your purchases or other rights, and neither party will be bound by this arbitration agreement if you opt out.
13. Governing law and changes
California law governs these Terms, subject to the Federal Arbitration Act and any mandatory consumer protections of your home state. For disputes properly heard in court, proceedings may be brought in a court with jurisdiction and venue under applicable law; these Terms do not require consumers to litigate exclusively in Sacramento.
We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. The version accepted for an order governs that order. A later amendment will not retroactively change an existing dispute or arbitration agreement without the agreement required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful, subject to the specific arbitration provisions above.
